Ben and Lauren share a beautiful love story. They both grew up on the mission field in Africa where they met as kids (hence the father's traditional African ceremony dress). Ben knew right away that he was going to marry Lauren, he even asked her dad permission back in grade school! Their wedding proved to be every bit as magical as their love story.

Last year Eternal Image Photography got the chance to photograph the Indie Craft Parade in Greenville, South Carolina. A few weeks ago someone from the TOWN, a local Greenville magazine, asked if they could publish my work to promote this year's craft parade. Here is a link if you would like to check it out :)

This years parade is this weekend, Sept 9th - 11th, at the Huguenot Mill, downtown Greenville. Lots of amazing and unique vendors will be there and I have the chance to photograph it again.

Meet Kevin and Yelena, two of our best friends! They just celebrated their two year wedding anniversary (I can't believe it's already been two years!) so we did a couples session for them in celebration. Hello Everyone,

Sorry it has been so long since I have updated the blog, things have been crazy busy, but I will get some more sessions on here soon! Anyways, meet my lovely sister in law, Rachel Powell!

Ok so this shoot was kind of rushed because we were all ready to go and it started pouring rain! Ahh so frustrating! The good thing about the South is that the rain usually doesn't last too long, so we decided to wait it out and sure enough it stopped for about a half hour so we could quick get some shots in. There was a ton of other stuff I had planned for this session but we had to postpone it until a later date. Keep your eye out for those pics to be up soon! :)

Duke Powell

Meet Duke! Our some-what new baby :) He's a 3 month old Boxer/ American Bull dog mix. We originally wanted a Boxer/ Pit Bull mix but we fell in love with him when we saw him :) If you met him you'd fall in love with him too!

My husband worked really hard with him and got him fully potty trained in 2 weeks. He can also give you a hand shake on command and listens to "sit", "stay", and "come here". Right now we are working on taking him on walks without a leash and he is doing pretty well with it. As you can tell I'm a proud mommy ;) I can't imagine what I will be like when we have human children lol.

Meet the Garber family!

This particular photo shoot was a little out of the ordinary for us because we shot it on Christmas day. Yup, you read right, Christmas day, that's how dedicated we are! :) We had a great time hanging out with this fun family and here are some of our favorites from the session.

I wish I had a video tape of us for some of these shots. Myself and most of the adults were jumping around making silly faces trying to get the kids to look at the camera. It was very amusing to watch, I'm sure. Worked for most of them at least :)

Luckily we had our other camera so all was well.

Their "first look" session! Note to future brides, I LOVE LOVE LOVE when you opt for first look sessions and they are totally worth it! Not only do you get to have a little bit of alone time with your future hubby to calm your nerves, but it allows more time for us to capture all of the photo's you could possibly want :)

The maid of honor's speech was hilarious! At the very beginning of the speech Andrea and Holly pulled out a bucket and told all of the guys who had keys to Jen's apartment that they needed to return them. Of course it was a joke, but their were about 10 guys who had to walk up there to "return" their keys. :)

I guess Jen will forgive her sister ;)

Darrick + Jennifer

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Jennifer: Saying my vows and realizing that in just a few short moments I would be Mrs. Ignasiak.

Darrick: Seeing Jennifer walk into the church for the first-look photo and then when she came in for the ceremony

What was your favorite detail?

Jennifer: My cousin, who's in the Army serving in Kuwait, called me just before the ceremony and told me he wanted to be the last person to talk to Jennifer Williamson...I hadn't talked to him in so long and it was just incredibly special- and it made me realize that this was really happening!!

Darrick: Looking into each other's eyes and doing the vows.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Jennifer: Just enjoy the day...you only get to be a princess once!! It's your day and no one can take away your joy unless you let them :)

Darrick: Don't be so worried about the audience or anyone else, just take in the moment with your bride.

If you could do it all over would you change anything? Nothing, it was perfectly lovely all around!!

Meet John and Kaitlyn. These two are so much fun. They have been together for 6 years, adorable high -school sweethearts! Kaitlyn is an English teacher and John works in landscaping. They currently live in Virginia. Their fall-themed wedding was in Pennsylvania, where they grew up.

Here are some of our favorite photographs from the day, enjoy!

The girls got ready at Kaitlyn's parents house where her sweet mom made them breakfast and made sure everyone was taken care of.

Roger and I stole the bride and groom away for 10 minutes to get some shots of them. There was no time to get their photo's done before the sun went down so we had to make due with setting up a small studio outside...in the dark. I must say, I really like how they came out!

Darrick and Jennifer

Hello Bloggers,

Meet Darrick and Jennifer.

Darrick is a newspaper journalist and Jennifer is a special needs teacher. I wish you all had a chance to meet these two because they are such amazing people! Roger and I did not even feel like we were on a photo shoot because we had so much fun laughing and hanging out the whole time. Oh and I got a few cuts and bruises along the way...you'll see :)

It was so hard to narrow down our favorites so please excuse the long blog post and enjoy!

And this is why I love working with Roger (besides for the fact that he is my fiance)...he just gets all of these crazy shots that I would never think of!

Indie Craft Parade

Roger and I got the chance to take a mini vacation to Greenville SC this weekend to see his sister and brother-in-law. Rog and Matt went camping while I got to hang out with the oh-so-talented Jenni Moreau. She designs and makes her own jewelry and sells it at craft fairs and on Etsy.com. I had tons of fun photographing some of her designs and got a sneak peek at the new line that is coming out soon.

If you live in the Greenville area be sure to attend the Indie Craft Parade on September 10-11, 2010. There will be a lot of vendors there, including fox to the opera. The best part about it is that it is free!
